Getting the included hand held IR remote control to work. (It doesn't work by default)
Why? Because if you have more then one DVR you need a way to have your remote control / controls actually control the unit you want it to control. Otherwise when you use the remote control it would control all the units at one time which could be a big problem. 

Here is how you assign your first hand held IR remote control to operate with your first DVR unit.

First notice that there is only ONE GREEN LIGHT light up on the DVR UNIT.

1. Press MENU on the DVR unit itself. You will be prompted for a password.
2. At the password prompt press the right arrow, this will move you in to the input field of the PW request.
3. Enter your password (The default is 12345, if you haven't changed it yet), the press the right arrow on the DVR. This will move you to the CONFIRM prompt.
4. Press the ENTER button on the DVR unit. This will take you to the MAIN MENU.
5. In the MAIN MENU, highlight the DISPLAY square, press ENTER on the DVR unit.
6. Use the down arrow to move the curser over the DEVICE option.
7. NOW, ON THE Hand Held IR REMOTE CONTROL, press the DVE key, then enter 88 on the IR remote, Then the ENTER button on the Hand Held IR Remote Control.

Follow the instructions above but on the 2nd DVR when you use the down arrow to the DEVICE option change it to anything other the 88. Now when you setup your 2nd Hand Held IR Remote control, put in the number that you changed the DEVICE number to and follow the instruction as you did on the first remote control only now put in the number that you changed the 2nd DVR DEVICE to.

Note: Unfortunately when you power cycle the DVR units, they loose this setup. So, you will need to go back and reset the Hand Held IR remote control setup every time the DVR is power cycled. We are working with the manufacturers rep. to get this fixed so that it will not loose the setup every time the system is power cycled.
